W.L. Walker Co., Inc. Returns to Its Historic Roots at 1009 S. Main Street
Tulsa, OK – July 2025 — In a full-circle moment nearly a century in the making, W.L. Walker Co., Inc., a proud Tulsa-based manufacturer of hydrocarbon testing and sampling instrumentation, has returned to its original home at 1009 S. Main Street—the very site where it was founded in 1926 by William Lee Walker.
The move marks a strategic shift for the nearly 100-year-old company, which recently vacated its space in the vibrant Tulsa Arts District. While that district’s explosive growth created exciting opportunities, it also opened the door for W.L. Walker to capitalize on a development opportunity and reconnect with its roots.
“We’re thrilled to be back where it all began,” said John Brackett, President of W.L. Walker Co., Inc. “This move brings us closer to our manufacturing operations and allows for greater operational efficiency, faster shipping, and a tighter feedback loop between our production and customer service teams.”
Located just steps from the company’s adjoining manufacturing facility, the historic 1009 S. Main location provides a unified campus that is expected to improve turnaround times, streamline logistics, and enhance customer service. For longtime employees and customers, the return to Main Street also carries deep sentimental value.
W.L. Walker Co., Inc. continues to lead the way in hydrocarbon sampling innovation, producing industry-standard tools such as the Tulsa Oil Thief. As the company nears its 100th anniversary, this return to its founding location represents more than a move—it’s a celebration of legacy, continuity, and a renewed commitment to the future.
