This tube is similar to the 18962, but permits direct reading of the percentage of Sediment and Water in testing a sample containing equal volumes of oil and diluent. The use of this tube is permitted by the API Manual of Petroleum Measurement's Chapter 10.4 if both parties agree. It has a serial number and is etched. It is graduated as follows: 0 to 1% in 0.1%, 1 to 4% in 0.2%, 4 to 6 % in 0.4%, 6 to 10% in 1%, 10 to 20% in 2%, 20 to 50% in 10% and at 100 and 200%.
