Purpose:
This cage is designed to protect the RTD probe tip.
Replacement:
Easily replaced by removing the set screw and unscrewing the cage from the main probe body.
Cost Savings:
Allows replacement of the probe end only, rather than the entire probe, if the tip is damaged by a hatch.
